How to enable spam protection?

Now let’s learn how to enable spam protection in cPanel:

1. Login to cPanel

2. Click the BoxTrapper icon.

3. Box Trapper protects your inbox from spam by requiring all email senders who aren’t on your Whitelist, to reply to a verification email before you can receive their mail.

4. For enabling BoxTrapper for an email address, click Manage.

5. Then click the Enable button.

6. BoxTrapper has now been enabled for this address. Click Go Back.

7. If you want to configure your BoxTrapper settings. Click the Configure Settings link.

8. You can set various options here, including auto-whitelisting for addresses you send email to.

9. Next click Edit Confirmation Messages. Here, you can edit the standard confirmation messages already set up for you.

10. Next, click Edit White/Black/Ignore Lists. Here you can add addresses to your Whitelist, Blacklist, and Ignore list.

11. You will notice a reduction in incoming spam messages, once you have setup BoxTrapper the way you want

12. Another option for controlling spam is to use SpamAssassin.

13. Also, you can use SpamAssassin in conjunction with BoxTrapper for maximum spam control, or you can use BoxTrapper on its own, or SpamAssassin on its own.

14. Then, Enable SpamAssassin.

15. Then click Go Back.

16. Now, configure SpamAssassin by clicking the Configure button.

17. Here, you can set up your blacklist with email addresses you know are spam and can add email addresses to your whitelist
