How To Restore From cPanel Backup

 
Before you can restore from an account backup, you must first have backups already made. To enable backups, go in to WHM as the root user, or as a root-enabled reseller, and navigate to the Backup Configuration interface. From there you can select the backup schedule and define which users you want to have backups.

Restoring File Backups in cPanel

1. Log in to cPanel.

2. Click on the File Backups icon under the JetBackup tab

   You can restore files and folders for your website from the last 30 days. You will see a page with all the available backup dates.

3 Click on the File Manager icon next to the date you wish to restore from and select the files, or folders that you wish to restore. To restore your website content as in most cases website files are under public_html, so select only the public_html folder.

4. Click on Restore selected files to restore the selected files from the backup.

5. By clicking on Download Selected Files, you can generate a download for the selected files. A.tag.gz file will be generating under Downloads, which you can download to your computer.
