Deleting Files and Folders in cPanel

Remove a File or Folder
  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. In the Files section, click the File Manager link or icon
  3. Be sure the Show hidden files(dotfiles) box is checked.
  4. Click the GO button to continue.
  5. Navigate through your files to locate the file or folder you want to remove in the file listing.
  6. Select the file and click on the Delete icon on the top toolbar. Alternatively, you can right-click on the file and select Delete from the Options menu.
  7. Click the Delete File(s) button on the pop-up box to confirm your action.
When you delete a file, it is not permanently deleted from your server. Instead, the File Manager moves the file to the Trash folder. If you want to skip this step and permanently delete the file instead, check the Skip the trash and permanently delete the files option.
