Creating New Account
WHM allows you to create accounts for your clients quickly and easily.
1.First, login to WHM,
2. Go to Account Functions section
3. Click on Create a New Account.
4. Under Domain Information, user has to enter the domain, username, password (twice) and the contact email address
5. In the Package section, select the package your have already created. If you are just starting out, you probably don’t have any packages configured
- In this case, check Select Options Manually
- This will expand a set of manual options and you can alternately save it as a package
- By default, these options are set to unlimited or 0, which amounts to the same thing.
6. Now under Manual Resource Options, you will need to set the account’s resource limits.
First is to Change Disk Space Quota (MB). By limiting the amount of disk space all cPanel users can take up, you will prevent server-wide space issues.
The second option does the same for bandwidth.
Next is to limit the number of FTP and e-mail accounts.
The fifth restricts mailing lists and the sixth, MySQL databases.
Then limit subdomains, parked domains, and add-on domains, respectively. Lastly, limit the number of emails sent by a domain per hour.
7. Settings is where the theme and language of the cPanel can be set.
8. The DNS Settings only apply if this server is going to be hosting DNS for this cPanel account. Under DNS Settings choose which name servers will be set in the records and DKIM and SPF are spam prevention measures that require specific DNS entries.
9. Press Create Button
Once ready, click on Create. If the account creation has been successful, you will see account creation status as OK. It will take some time for the server to create the account, so sit back for a bit as it configures everything.
